In 2011, SoLetsTalkAbout.com (SLTA) was created to break down politics and current events for regular people who like to keep up with the world.
Fast forward almost a decade and a half, and I’m not an aspiring writer anymore trying to scrape my way through mainstream media to save enough coin to afford an apartment in New York City by myself. In a post-Trump, post-Covid America, my writing became more and more negative to the point where I felt it was irresponsible to put that energy onto the internet. I shut down SLTA and focused on a new career in finance.
OverpricedVodka is an extension of SLTA, but without the pressure. This is a space for me, not a readership of paid subscribers, so I can write what I want on a schedule that works for me. And I can have a cocktail while I do it. If that works for you, feel free to stick around.
