Nikki Haley says no one blamed Obama after Charleston shooting.

And she’s absolutely right. Because we were blaming Trump even before he became President, and when I say *we* I mean we as in….everybody, including Nikki Haley. Look what she said yesterday about the Pittsburgh shooting:

nikki haley charleston

So this is the narrative she’s going with. After Charleston, even though there was racial division, nobody blamed Obama for what happened, so after Pittsburgh, nobody should be blaming Trump. We should be focusing on the families and not placing blame. We should be doing the Republican Thoughts & Prayers Shuffle again for the millionth time. Don’t find reasons for why it happened, just be sad that it happened and send some prayers to…somebody. Who do Christians pray to when Jews are murdered? Y’all ask her because I don’t want that woman saying anything in my direction with her mouth full of lies and Presidential Ambitions.

You Wrong, Point #1:

I’m not going to expend the energy to find the receipts, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who remembers Fox News saying Obama’s “divisiveness” as President contributed to Dylann Roof shooting up a Black church. If Obama hadn’t been pitting the races against each other, then maybe this sweet mentally ill child would’n’t’ve been so angry. Y’all remember that too, so she’s already wrong. There were plenty of (her own) people blaming Obama.

You Wrong, Point #2:

Obama never advocated violence against Black people. Black people were killed, so if there was going to be a national outcry against Obama for it, he’d have to be to blame for stoking the fires of hatred against Black people.  Trump riles up his audience against everyone who isn’t a white Christian, and then one of his supporters killed people Trump rails against. There’s no similarity here.

You Wrong, Point 3#:

NIMRATA RANDHAWA HALEY HERSELF BLAMED TRUMP FOR CHARLESTON.  True, she didn’t blame the sitting President, but take the office out of it, and we’re blaming the same person for this hate crime that she blamed for that hate crime in 2015.

While Haley said she doesn’t think Trump’s supporters are racists, she told The Associated Press that the rhetoric he uses is dangerous. She invoked the Charleston shooting, in which Dylann Storm Roof is accused of killing nine black parishioners at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church there.

“I know what that rhetoric can do. I saw it happen,” Haley said.

Police said Roof, who was seen holding a Confederate flag in a manifesto discovered online after the shootings, wanted to start a race war.

Haley has repeatedly spoken out against Trump, including in February when she knocked the businessman for not forcefully disavowing support from white supremacists.

“I will not stop until we fight a man that chooses not to disavow the KKK,” Haley said. “That is not a part of our party, that is not who we want as president. We will allow not allow that in our country.”

(cont. The Hill)

Is every Republican just incapable of telling the truth? There was no reason to even step out here with this baldfaced lie other than to give the Republican voters nationally a sympathetic voice to turn to in the wake of a tragedy, someone to look at and say “look at this nice, sensible person who is both respectful of our enemies and also protecting our President.”

She makes me sick. They all make me sick. I’m so tired of the lying because what is truth? What is truth when your voters DECIDE what truth is based on what they believe and not facts, which they discount as lies, because it’s not what they believe? What are we even doing here? Republicans lie about the simplest things like this — who blamed who and when — and there’s just no space for any debate on any topic because there are no facts there. There is no basic standard of These Things Happened because the only thing that matters to their voters is What’s Happening Now. Past words don’t matter, because the explanation is those words have been altered or taken out of context.

How do you fight lies?
